Foster Sets Ivy Long Jump Record as Tigers Open Competition at Spec Towns

ATHENS, GA. – The Princeton men's track and field team opened up competition at the Spec Towns Invitational in Athens, Ga. on Friday, winning two events as Greg Foster set a new Ivy League record in the long jump.
Foster won the long jump, clearing a whopping 7.99m/26.75 in early April. The mark is a new Ivy League record, besting the 1985 record of 7.98m. Foster's performance ranks third nationally.
Asher Robbins also picked up a win in the hammer throw with a mark of 67.24m/220-7, just .24m off from his personal best.
Joey Gant and Jackson Clarke had strong performances in the 200m. Against some of the nation's best, the pair of Tigers finished sixth and seventh with times of 20.83 and 20.86, respectively.
