April 19, 2026 | Men's Track and Field
AZUSA, CALIF. – Going three-for-four, the Princeton men's track and field team's distance squad competed at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. this weekend, setting new records in three of the four events they competed in, including an Ivy League record in the 5000m and new program records in the 10,000m and the 1500m.
Against some of the nation's top competition, the Tigers shined as Jacob Nenow kicked things off on Thursday night with a new program record in the 10,000m. The sophomore ran a blazing 28:13.65 to shave 10 seconds off his own school record set last year, 28:23.60. His new PB ranks 25th in the nation.
On Friday, Myles Hogan continued the success as he set a new Ivy League record in the 5000m. Clocking in at 13:20.36, which now ranks fifth in the NCAA, Hogan toppled the previous league record of 13:24.91, set in 2024 by Harvard's Graham Blanks. He shaved 17 seconds off his previous outdoor best and ran over a second under his all-time PB in the event.
In the 1500m, Connor McCormick completed the trifecta as he ran a new program record time of 3:36.47. His time bested the previous record of 3:37.22, set by Harrison Witt '25 last year. Now ranking ninth in the nation, McCormick improved four seconds from his previous PR to achieve the feat.
Collin Boler also ran the 1500m, setting a new personal best as he ran 3:39.29. He ranks 30th on the current NCAA list.
Jackson Shorten represented the Tigers in the 3000m steeplechase, running 8:26.75 for a new personal best and an NCAA #6 time. The mark improves Shorten's third-place ranking on the Princeton all-time leaderboard.
After an exceptional weekend out west, the Tigers will return home before keeping it local next weekend as they split for the Penn Relays in Philadelphia and the TCNJ Lions Invite.
