Team Effort Leads Women's Basketball Over Dartmouth, 63-39

PRINCETON – 10 different players scored for the Princeton Women's Basketball Team in a 63-39 takedown of the Dartmouth Big Green at Jadwin Gym on Saturday.
The Tigers used a 12-0 run to take a 14-4 lead with 2:37 to go in the first quarter and eventually led by seven, 14-7, as the frame came to an end. The Tigers shot 50 percent (6-of-12) during that stretch.
Princeton expanded its lead to 13, 31-18, as the first half ended. The Tigers went 14-of-23 from the floor (60.9 percent) in the first 20 minutes. Head coach Carla Berube's team outscored Dartmouth by one in the third stanza.
The Tigers used a 9-2 run to begin the fourth quarter to extend their lead to 21, 50-29, with eight minutes remaining. Dartmouth made one more push, scoring 10 straight, forcing a Princeton timeout with 4:34 to go.
The Big Green did not score again. The Tigers scored the final 13 points and made the road unit miss its final seven shots.
Skye Belker led all scorers with 16 points, adding four assists and two rebounds. Taylor Charles matched her personal high with nine points, while setting new marks in rebounds (seven) and blocks (five). Tabitha Amanze just missed a double-double with eight points and 11 rebounds, collecting three blocks and a steal as well.
Princeton shot 52 percent overall and outrebounded Dartmouth, 38-24. The Tigers also finished with 10 blocks. Berube's group, at 12-4 overall and 3-0 in the Ivy League, travels to New York City to take on Columbia on Monday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
