PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's volleyball team return to the road to face Yale in New Haven, Connecticut, on Oct. 31 before a nationally-televised match up in Providence, Rhode Island, on Nov. 2 against Brown.
Championship Tradition
The Tigers won their 20th Ivy League title in program history in 2023, finishing Ivy play with a 12-2 record. Princeton shared the championship with Yale, who also went 12-2 in conference play. Princeton's 20 Ivy titles are the most of any Ivy program, with Yale's 14 coming in second.
Head Coach Sabrina King
King is in her 14th season as head coach at Princeton. She has guided the Tigers to five Ivy League titles, three NCAA Tournament appearances and has been named Ivy Coach of the Year three times. Throughout her tenure as head coach, King has coached four Ivy League Players of the Year and 44 All-Ivy honorees. A member of the Class of 2001 at Princeton, she won three Ivy titles as a player, was the 1999 Ivy Player of the Year and was a three-time All-Ivy selection.
Season Sweep Of The Quakers
The Tigers earned a 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-17) sweep of the University of Pennsylvania on Oct. 24 inside Dillon Gymnasium to complete the season sweep of the Quakers in their most recent match.
Draper Named Ivy Player Of The Week
Draper was named Ivy League Player of the Week on Sept. 29 after helping Princeton sweep Penn.
Three Different Ivy Rookies of The Week
Three Tigers have been honored as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week; Shelby Burriss on Oct. 27 and Oct. 13, Olivia Foye on Sept. 29 and Taylor Clarke on Sept. 8.
The National Top-15
Princeton currently ranks No. 12 in the nation in assists-per-set (13.23) and No. 13 in hitting percentage (.289).
Sensational Scalamandre
Lucia Scalamandre, a three-time All-Ivy honoree, currently ranks No. 3 among active career leaders in hitting percentage (.395). In 2025, she ranks No. 2 in the nation and No. 1 in the Ivy League in hitting percentage (.457), No. 6 in blocks-per-set (1.00), No. 6 in points (3.60) and No. 8. in kills (2.90).
Accurate Hitting
Scalamandre's .800 hitting percentage against Columbia on Oct. 18 tied the highest hitting percentage recorded by an Ivy League player in 2025. In addition, five out of the top-10 single game hitting percentages by an Ivy player this season have been from Scaamandre.
A National Assist Leader
The 2023 Ivy Rookie of the Year, Draper was named to the Ivy League All-Tournament Team in 2024 and is a two-time all-conference selection. She currently ranks No. 4 nationally and leads the Ivy League in assists-per-set (10.92). In addition, Draper ranks No. 10 among active career leaders in assists-per-set (10.19).
A Nation Leading Performance From Draper
Draper's 52 assists against Penn on Sept. 26 were the most by any player in a three-set match in 2025.
Strong Senior Season From Nutakor
Valerie Nutakor ranks third in the Ivy League in kills-per-set (3.29) and seventh in points (3.31). In addition to being a career-high, Nutakor's 25 kills on Oct. 17 against Cornell are tied for the most kills in a match by an Ivy League player in 2025.
Big Impact From Bold
Sydney Bold ranks seventh in the Ivy League in digs-per-set (3.08).
Freshman Impact
The Tigers' freshmen class have quickly made an impact. Burriss ranks No. 3 in in the Ivy League and No. 14 in the nation in hitting percentage (.421). Burris also ranks No. 8 in the conference blocks (0.91) while Foye ranks No. 6 in digs (3.38).
Scouting Yale
The Bulldogs, defending Ivy regular season and tournament champions, are 9-7 and 5-3 in conference play. In their most recent match, Yale fell to Brown on Oct. 25 at the Pizzitola Sports Center, 3-2 (25-21, 19-25, 23-25, 25-22, 17-15).
