November 21, 2025 | Men's Tennis
ORLANDO, Fla.- After a dominant straight sets victory, Paul Inchauspé found himself in yet another three set thriller on Friday morning. Inchauspé was facing Wake Forest's Luca Pow in the NCAA Individual Championship quarterfinals with a spot in the final four on the line.
Inchauspé dropped the first set of the match 4-6 but immediately worked to battle back. The junior took the next set 6-4 to force a third. In the tournament, the junior has played three sets in all but one match.
Inchauspé kicked things up a gear in the third. He came up to a quick 5-1 lead with the win just one game away. Pow held serve but it would not be enough. Serving for the match, Inchauspé finished things off to secure his spot in the semifinals with a final score of 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Inchauspé is the program's first player in 45 years to reach the NCAA Individual Championship semifinals. The last to do so was Leif Shiras '81 in the 1980 tournament when he defeated Chip Hooper of Arkansas to secure his spot.
With the win, Inchauspé also qualified for the ATP Next Gen Accelerator Program.
The semifinals pit Inchauspé against Ivy League foe Michael Zheng of Columbia and is set for Saturday at 10:00 AM.
