Weekend Sweep Earns Corniea ECAC Weekly Honors

After backstopping the Princeton women's hockey team to a sweep of No. 7 Quinnipiac, junior Uma Corniea has been named the ECAC Hockey MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week.
Corniea turned in 28 saves as Princeton outlasted Quinnipiac 4-3 in overtime at Baker Rink last Thursday, and two days later in Connecticut, Corniea stopped all 40 shots on goal as Princeton defeated the Bobcats 2-0, surpassing her previous career high in saves by eight, a 32-save win over Mercyhurst during her rookie season.
Winners of four in a row, the Tigers will host Yale on Tuesday at Baker Rink before the schedule resumes on the first weekend of December for the annual trip to the Tigers' Central New York league foes in Colgate and Cornell.
