December 09, 2025 | Women's Ice Hockey
While helping the No. 11-ranked Princeton women's hockey team to a weekend sweep that extended the Tigers' winning streak to seven games, sophomore Mackenzie Alexander and junior Uma Corniea have earned ECAC Hockey weekly honors.
Alexander is the ECAC Hockey Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels, and Corniea is the MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week. The recognition is Corniea's third ECAC award in the last few weeks, having been named the November Goalie of the Month and the Goalie of the Week on Nov. 25.
Alexander had her first career hat trick against No. 14/15 Colgate in a 6-1 win on Friday, adding an assist for a four-point game a night before she had another assist in a 3-2 win at No. 8 Cornell. Alexander will take a seven-game point streak into 2026, having scored seven goals and added five assists during Princeton's seven-game winning streak.
Corniea had a 1.50 GAA over the weekend, allowing three goals and making 64 stops between the Colgate and Cornell games. On the season, Corniea has a 1.92 GAA and a .936 save percentage.
The Tigers will be away from competition for first-semester finals and the holiday break, resuming for a two-game visit from Stonehill Jan. 2-3.
