Princeton Drops Close Dual Meet to No. 17 Stanford, 20-17

PRINCETON, N.J. – In a close, down-to-the-wire match, the Princeton wrestling team fell to no. 17 Stanford in its final home dual meet of the season on Thursday night, 20-17.
Ethan Rivera, Ty Whalen, Jake Mann and Kole Mulhauser all secured wins in the dual.
Whalen earned a huge decision over #9 Jaden Abas, with a last-second takedown combination that gave him the lead as the third period ended, 6-5, sending Jadwin into a frenzy. The win is Whalen's highest and second ranked win this season.
Jake Mann also electrified the Jadwin crowd with his hard-fought victory over Jack Sonsiglio, as he found himself down with a minute to go before making a match-winning takedown and an escape to take the bout 7-4.
Kole Mulhauser also got the crowd on their feet, as he wrestled hard, making a relentless series of takedowns to get a tech fall over Tye Monteiro in just 5:11.
