Tigers Finish T9 At The Prestige

Princeton finished T9 as a team at The Prestige, finishing +2 as a group over the three rounds played on the Greg Norman Course at PGA West.
After starting the tournament with a team score of +2 in Monday's first round, the Tigers gained some ground on Tuesday with a team score of -5. On Wednesday, Princeton gave those strokes back with a score of +5 to slot into a tie for ninth alongside Oregon.
The overall team champion at the event was San Diego, which won with a blistering team score of -29 which included a final round -18. Texas Tech was second at -12.
The Tigers finished tied with the Ducks, ranked No. 34 currently. Princeton's T9 finish was ahead of No. 45 Stanford, No. 40 Colorado State, No. 15 Pepperdine and No. No. 35 Louisville among others.
After opening with a 71 (E) on Monday, Fantinelli vaulted into contention with a 68 (-3) on Tuesday. He was recorded six birdies in the round, including four of his first 11 holes. The final round saw Fantinelli birdie three holes in a row to open his back nine and get to -4 overall, but two birdies on his way in halted the climb up the leaderboard.
Freshman Reed Greyserman tied Fantinelli for 24th overall, shooting -2 over the 54 holes. He opened with a 69 (-2) that featured three birdies, one bogey and 14 pars, before carding three more birdies in the second round on his way to a 72 (+1). On Wednesday, he shot a 70 (-1) that saw six birdies and five bogeys as he found himself lurking on the scoreboard but unable to make a run towards the top.
Charlie Palmer had a stellar second round, posting six birdies -- including five in a nine-hole stretch over holes 9-17 to shoot a -3 (68)
William Huang had his best round of the tournament in the final round, carding five birdies -- including four in a row on holes 11-14 -- to post a -2 (69).
