PRINCETON, N.J. – In its last weekend before Heps, the Princeton women's track and field team will compete in the Philadelphia Metro Meet and the BU Terrier DMR Challenge on Friday, February 21st.
Most of the squad will visit neighbor Penn in Philly while Mena Scatchard and Hannah Riggins are expected to compete in Boston.

PRINCETON, N.J. – In its last weekend before Heps, the Princeton women's track and field team will compete in the Philadelphia Metro Meet and the BU Terrier DMR Challenge on Friday, February 21st.
Most of the squad will visit neighbor Penn in Philly while Mena Scatchard and Hannah Riggins are expected to compete in Boston.
Last Time Out
- Princeton last competed at the BC Eagle Elite Invitational in Boston last Friday.
- Scatchard set a new program record in the mile at the BC Eagle Elite Invitational in Boston, running an impressive time of 4:28.43. Her time currently ranks 15th on the NCAA qualifying list, and it marked a four second improvement on her personal best time. Scatchard's performance broke her own previous school record of 4:32.95, set just weeks ago at the Dr. Sander Scorcher on January 25.
- For her performance, Scatchard was named Ivy Athlete of the Week on Tuesday - her first weekly award of her career. This season alone, Scatchard has set new records in the mile, the 800m, and the DMR. She now holds six records in the Princeton all-time record book, including the mile, the 800m, the 3000m and the 1500m. She is part of the relay squads that hold the school records in both the DMR and the 4x800.
- Riggins also ran a new personal best in the mile with a time of 4:35.51, putting her just behind Scatchard at second all-time in the Princeton record books.
- Jazmyn Singh ran 54.65 in the 400 for a new PR, while Maisha Atkinson was right behind her, running 55.00 for a new personal best. Singh's time puts her at second in the Princeton records, while Atkinson now sits at fourth.
Tigers on the NCAA Qualifying List
- Scatchard finds herself on the NCAA Qualifying List individually three times, now coming in at 15th in the mile (4:28.43) from the Eagle Elite Invite, 20th in the 800m from her Penn State National time (2:03.26) and 37th in the 3000m with a time of 9:00.86, set at the BU Season Opener.
- Riggins is right behind Scatchard in the 800m with a rank of 27th (2:03.66).
- Scatchard, Asante, Leigh and Riggins' DMR time from the Penn State National of 11:04.51 currently ranks 14th nationally.
- Another Tiger DMR squad of Riggins, Singh, Paola Rodriguez, and Alexis Allen ranks 22nd with a time of 11:17.58, set at the Dr. Sander Scorcher.
- Tessa Mudd currently holds 22nd in the pole vault with a mark of 4.36m/14' 3.5", set at the Penn 10 Elite.
- Georgina Scoot is on the list in two categories, holding 30th in the triple jump with a mark of 13.07m/42' 10.75", set at the Quaker Invitational, and 37th in the long jump with a mark of 6.26m/20' 6.5", set at the Princeton Navy Dual.
- Jongejeugd currently ranks 31st in the pentathlon with her Princeton record-breaking score of 3929. Mirtel Klaar is behind her in 46th with a time of 3840.
- Princeton was ranked first in the Mid-Atlantic region in the latest USTFCCCA poll.
Looking Back
- Princeton is coming off an Ivy Cross Country Championship title win in November, the program's 10th all-time and first since 2015.
- During last year's indoor season, the Tigers took second place at Ivy Heps with a total of 134 points from four individual Ivy championships, one relay championship, and four new school records.
- The Tigers are led by Michelle Eisenreich, in her ninth season as head coach after joining the program in 2016. She has coached eight Tigers to All-America honors along with over 30 individual Ivy titles and multiple NCAA appearances.
