Hannah Riggins Sets New Princeton Record in 800m As Tigers Close Out Regular Season

PHILADELPHIA, PA. – With Hannah Riggins setting a new Princeton record in the 800m, the Princeton women's track and field program closed out the regular season with the Philadelphia Metro Meet and the BU Terrier DMR Challenge.
Riggins ran an impressive 2:02.22 for a new NCAA #15 in the event, improving from her previous personal record of 2:03.66, set weeks ago at the Penn State National Open.
Her time broke the previous Princeton record of 2:03.26, also set recently at the Penn State National Open by teammate Mena Scatchard, as the two middle-distance runners have been on a tear as of late.
In Philadelphia, the Tigers had a strong day in the field, winning three events. Alexandra Kelly set a new season best in the long jump 6.23m/20-05.25". Her time currently ranks 46th in the NCAA.
Georgina Scoot won the triple jump with a mark of 13.08m/42-11", setting a new season best an an NCAA #27 mark.
Tessa Mudd won the pole vault, jumping 4.26m/13-11.75".
Princeton won the 4x800 relay, as Maddie Cramer, Peyton Leigh, Stella Vieth, and Lexi Allen ran a time of 9:31.10.
Cramer also won the 800m, setting a new personal record of 2:10.21. Leigh was right behind her, clocking in at 2:10.53 for second.
Lily Parris set a new season best in 60mH, running 8.66. Shea Burke also set a new personal best in the event, running 9.06.
Vieth took second in the 500m, running 1:14.73. Allen took second in the 1000m with a time of 2:56.85.
Margaret Thompson set a new PR in the mile, running 5:00.17 for fourth.

Princeton will look ahead to the postseason with the Ivy Heptagonal Championships next Saturday and Sunday, February 1st and February 2nd, in Ithaca, New York.
