
Despite Lee's Game-High 24 Points, Men's Basketball Falls To Dartmouth

PRINCETON, N.J. – Despite junior Xaivian Lee's game-high 24 points, the Princeton University men's basketball team fell to Dartmouth inside Jadwin Gymnasium Saturday night, 76-61.
Lee's 24 points marked the eighth time in 2024-25 he's exceeded the 20-point mark, and he moved up to No. 24 on the Tigers' all-time scoring list as he now has 1,082 career points. Lee also had a team-high eight rebounds and three assists. His 135 assists on the season rank No. 4 all-time in program history for most assists in a season.
Sophomore Dalen Davis also scored in double figures with 14 points, while sophomore Jackson Hicke added 10 points, six rebounds and two assists.
Dartmouth got off to a hot start, surging out to a 25-10 lead with 6:10 on the clock. A three-pointer by Lee ignited a 7-0 run that narrowed the deficit to eight with 4:42 left in the half, 25-17. A late Davis three-pointer followed by a four-point play Lee saw Princeton trim Dartmouth's lead down to four and go into the half trailing 32-28.
The Tigers showed resilience in the second half, with a layup by junior Caden Pierce making it a three-point game, 38-25, with 16:32 left to play. Back-to-back Hicke baskets made it a two-point game with 13:23 remaining, 43-41. The Big Green used an 15-0 run to extend its lead back out to 19, 61-46, at 6:24. Dartmouth stayed in control from that point onward, earning the 76-61 win.
