McCormick, Donaldson, Rodman, Witt DMR Named Ivy Athlete of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – After breaking the Ivy League record in the DMR on Friday, the Tiger Distance Medley Relay squad, consisting of Connor McCormick, Xavier Donaldson, Sam Rodman and Harrison Witt, was named Ivy League Athlete of the Week.

The Tigers broke the Ivy League record in the DMR on Friday night at the BU DMR Challenge in Boston, running a blazing 9:17.30. Their time currently ranks sixth nationally and sixth in the NCAA all-time records.

The performance broke the previous Ivy record of 9:23.27, set by Princeton in 2023. Rodman also ran the 800 leg in that squad, then joined by Ethan Reese '23, William Doyle '24 and Duncan Miller '23.

For Witt, this marks back-to-back Ivy weekly awards after he was named Ivy Athlete of the Week last Tuesday for breaking the Ivy record in the mile.

For McCormick, Donaldson, and Rodman, it is the first weekly nod of their careers.

With the regular indoor season now completed, the Tigers will look to the Ivy Heptagonal Championships this weekend in Ithaca as they seek their 10th consecutive indoor Ivy League Championship title.
