No. 13 Women's Lacrosse Hounds Hofstra, 20-4
March 01, 2025 | Women's Lacrosse
No. 13 Princeton scored 0:14 into the game and never looked back in a 20-4 win over visiting Hofstra at Sherrerd Field.
Haven Dora capped a stellar week with seven assists – tying the school record for assists in a game she set earlier this week at Delaware. She finished with eight points in the game to tie her career high.
Dora has now climbed into a tie for the No. 7 spot all-time in assists by a Princeton player with 68. She now has 21 total assists this season, and had 14 this week alone as part of a 15-point two games.
Dylan Allen had two caused turnovers and two ground balls in another torrid afternoon on defense, joined by Abigail Roberts (3 DC, 2 CT, 2 GB) and Juliana Williams (2 CT, 1 GB) among the statistical leaders as part of a swarming defensive effort that saw the Pride muster just 17 total shots – and nine on goal.
The Tigers scored twice in the opening minute on a pair of Meg Morrisroe goals, and after the Pride briefly cut the lead to one, Princeton rattled off seven in a row to pull away in dominant fashion.
Just three days removed from seeing a 7-1 lead at Delaware after one quarter worm its way into a contest the Tigers needed to score twice in the final 2:00 to escape with a one-goal victory, Princeton learned an early-season lesson and kept its foot on the gas.
Princeton had 11 different players score at least one goal, and 27 Tigers saw game action in a complete and total team effort.
The 16-goal margin of victory is the highest in the Jenn Cook tenure and largest for a Princeton team since a 19-1 win over Columbia in 2019.
Princeton returns to Sherrerd Field on March 5, hosting Penn State at 5:30 p.m.
