PRINCETON – Rachael Carver and Lindsey Lucas earned Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) weekly honors.
Carver earned her second Player of the Week honor this season as she set a new career high with five goals as the Tigers roared back from 8-6 deficit with four minutes to go to drop No. 12 LMU, 9-8. Carver's fourth and fifth goals of the game tied the contest before the Tigers pulled off the game-winner with 19 seconds to go. For the season, Carver leads the squad in scoring, adding 18 goals and a team-best 24 assists.
Lucas collected Defensive Player of the Week as she made nine stops in the win over No. 12 LMU. Her ninth save came right before the buzzer as the Tigers defeated LMU, 9-8. This is the 16th time that Lucas has earned the accolade. The junior has a .566 save percentage this season.
Princeton takes on No. 23 Pomona-Pitzer today at 7 p.m. before a contest vs. No. 4 UCLA Thursday at 4 p.m.
