March 16, 2025 | Men's Tennis
INDIAN WELLS, Calif.- The No. 26 Princeton men's tennis team faced No. 28 Pepperdine in the third place match at the UTR Sports Collegiate Championships on Sunday afternoon.
After winning the doubles point, the Tigers were unable to finish the job in singles as they fell to the Waves 4-2.
Fnu Nidunjianzan secured the one singles win for Princeton in dominant fashion over the No. 47 ranked player Maxi Homberg 6-0, 6-0.
"It was another tough one today against a strong Pepperdine team," head coach Billy Pate said. "Once again, we did a good job earning the doubles point, but had some challenges in the singles. It's disappointing as these were two great opportunities for us. But we'll grow from it and be ready for Ivy League play in two weeks."
