Kayla Yelensky Named To Cutino Award Watch List

PRINCETON – Kayla Yelensky has been named to the Peter J. Cutino Award Watch List, USA Water Polo, the Olympic Club and ACWPC announced.

The Peter J. Cutino Award, named in honor of the late Hall of Fame coach, recognizes the best player in men's and women's college water polo. This watch list was created in 2022 in an effort to help promote the college game, awareness of the honor, and the excellent play of athletes across the country. The top 20 athletes, as submitted by varsity college coaches, have been recognized for their outstanding play.

Yelensky leads the Tigers with 59 goals this season, adding 30 drawn ejections, 12 steals and 12 assists. The utility player has 243 tallies in her career which places her fifth in program history, 29 shy of the second place Elyse Colgan '07. The senior has scored in every game, recording 13 hat tricks this season. She is just 10 goals shy of her career high, 69, and is currently averaging 3.3 tallies per contest.
