No. 4 Heavyweight Rowing Opens 2025 With Wins Over No. 16 Georgetown, No. 18 La Salle & No. 24 Temple

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 4 Princeton University heavyweight rowing team got its 2025 season off to a strong start at Lake Carnegie Saturday, as it prevailed in all four races against No. 16 Georgetown, No. 18 La Salle and No. 24 Temple.
"The team had a solid first step forward into the racing season today," said Head Coach Greg Hughes. "We came away with some good next steps to focus on as we prepare for Navy this coming weekend."
The 2V also earned a commanding win, finishing in 5:39.3, in front of Temple (5:56.4), La Salle (5:59.2) and Georgetown (6:02.5).
A third victory was earned by the 3V who crossed the finish line 5:48.0. The Hoyas came in second in 6:07.0, the Explorers third in 6:11.2 and the Owls fourth in 6:16.0
Princeton's 4V earned the fourth victory of the day (5:56.4) while the Tigers' 5V took second with a time of 6:00.1 Georgetown was third (6:22.6) and Temple fourth (7:03.8).
