Brett MacConnell Invited To Elite 75 Future Head Coach Power Lunch

PRINCETON, N.J. – Ted Athanassiades '61 Associate Head Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Brett MacConnell of the Princeton University men's basketball team has been invited to the Silver Waves Media Elite 75 Future Head Coach Power Lunch at the Men's Final Four in San Antonio, Texas, on Apr. 3.
Last year, 10 of the 50 coaches selected to attend became Division I head coaches. The event, one of the most prestigious in college basketball, will include more than 60 athletics directors, assistant ADs and presidents, who will participate in five-minute speed daring rounds with the lunch participants.
MacConnell, who is in his 13th year at Princeton, helped lead the Tigers to the 2023 Sweet Sixteen and to four Ivy League titles, two Ivy League Tournament championships, six 20-win seasons and 10 wins over high major opponents. In addition to being named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Under Armour 30-under-20 Team in 2016, MacConnell has coached four Ivy League Players of the Year and 18 professional players, including Tosan Evbuomwan '23 and Devin Cannady '20, who have played in the NBA.
The Tigers are in action next at 2 p.m. on Mar. 8 inside Jadwin Gymnasium against the University of Pennsylvania (8-18, 4-9) in Princeton's regular season finale.
