PRINCETON, N.J. – With Luke Stout being named to the First Team All-Ivy, six Tigers received All-Ivy honors as the league announced its award winners on Wednesday.
Senior captain Stout, who is seeded first in the 197 class for the Ivy League tournament, was named to the First Team after posting a 12-2 record this season with eight tech falls over his opponents. A three-time NCAA qualifier who currently ranks 18th nationally, it is the first time Stout has made the Ivy First Team after making the Second Team for the last three years.
Redshirt freshman Marc-Anthony McGowan was named to the Second Team All-Ivy, posting a 13-2 record this season. He is ranked 24th nationally and seeded first for the Ivy tournament in the 125 class.
Four Tigers were also named Ivy League Honorable mentions, including Eligh Rivera, Ty Whalen, Sebastian Garibaldi and Blaine Bergey. Whalen (149) ranks 15th in the nation and is seeded third in the Ivy tournament, while Rivera (141), ranked 29th, is also seeded third.
Garibaldi was also named to the Academic All-Ivy team, as the junior mechanical and aerospace engineering major has boasted success on the mat and in the classroom this season.
