Scoring
Princeton is in front after the first round of the 2025 Ivy League Championship as the Tigers posted a team score of 279 (-1) at Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pa. That score has the Tigers in front by none strokes over Harvard and Cornell which both shot 288 (+8).
Riccardo Fantinelli is in front of the individual race as well, shooting a 67 (-3) to open his tournament. Fantinelli, the 2023 Ivy League champion, carded five birdies in his round, including a birdie on the last to get to three under.
Fantinelli is one of six players under par after the first round, joined by teammate Tommy Frist who is tied for second after shooting a 69 (-1). Frist rallied well in his opening round, as he countered three consecutive bogeys to open his tournament with birdies on three of his next four holes to get back to even through seven. He then parred the next nine holes before a birdie on the par-5 17th hole got him under par for the first time in the tournament.
Four Tigers are within the top 12 on the leaderboard through the first day of play as Charlie Palmer is tied for eighth after a 71 (+2) and Reed Greyserman is tied for 12th following a 72 (+2).
The second round is scheduled for a 9 a.m. start on April 26.
