April 26, 2025 | Women's Water Polo
PROVIDENCE – The Princeton Women's Water Polo Team took care of the Bucknell Bison, 17-4, in the CWPA Tournament Semifinal on Saturday afternoon at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
The Tigers will take on Harvard in the CWPA Championship Sunday at 1 p.m.
Princeton scored the first six goals and did not allow Bucknell to get on the scoreboard until six-minute mark of the second quarter. The Tigers registered four more goals and led 10-1 at the break.
Bucknell never threatened in the second half as head coach Derek Ellingson's group opened with four tallies and led 14-1 after three frames.
Ava Houlahan and Kayla Yelensky led the Tigers with four goals each while Charlotte Riches also scored a hat trick. Yelensky has 93 goals this season and is one of only three Tigers to record at least 90+ goals in a season.
Princeton is seeking its seventh conference title in program history and third straight. The Class of 2025 is looking to become just the second Princeton class to collect three CWPA crowns.
Goals: Yelensky 4, A. Houlahan 4, Riches 3, Carver 2, Davidson, Mallery, Krotts, G. Houlahan
