Back-to-back Emese Batizi goals had the game even at 5-all halfway through the third stanza. Michigan's goal with 44 seconds remaining tied the game at six as the fourth quarter got underway.
Yelensky's fourth tally of the contest gave the Tigers the lead with three minutes left, but the home team countered with 92 seconds to go.
Olivia Krotts drew an 5M opportunity with 29 seconds on the clock which led to Yelensky's fifth goal of the game.
On the final possession, the Wolverines drew a 5M chance, but Lindsey Lucas blocked the shot to secure the win.
