Baseball Falls In Midweek Contest With Monmouth

PRINCETON, N.J.- The Princeton baseball team faced the Monmouth Hawks on Wednesday afternoon. The Tigers plated three runs but ultimately fell to the Hawks by a score of 13-3.
Monmouth took a 4-0 lead in the first inning before Princeton tacked on its first run in the top of the second on a ground out.
The Hawks were able to add nine more runs throughout the game and held a 13-1 advantage after the sixth inning.
The Tigers got a run in the top of the seventh on a bases loaded walk before another came across on a double play.
Monmouth had two runners on in the bottom of the frame before the game was called.
Princeton will head north to face the Harvard Crimson in a Friday doubleheader with game one set for 11:30 AM.
