4x400, Witt Set New Program Records as Tigers Host Larry Ellis Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – On a hot and sunny weekend in Princeton, the Princeton men's track and field team shined as they hosted the 2025 Larry Ellis Invitational.
In the meet's grand finale, a Tiger squad of Karl Dietz, Kavon Miller, Joey Gant and Xavier Donaldson smashed the program record in the 4x400, clocking in at a blazing time of 3:04.85.
Their time replaces the previous Princeton record of 3:05.86 set in 2011.
Harrison Witt also had a standout performance, setting a new program record in the 1500 with a time of 3:37.22. His time broke the previous record set by Sam Ellis in 2022 of 3:37.60.
A Tiger squad of Jackson Clarke, Jadon Spain, Paul Kuhner and Charles Sexton came in first in the 4x100, running 39.98 for fourth all-time in the Princeton record books.
In the 100, Jadon Spain took first place with a time of 10.35. Jackson Clarke was just behind him, clocking in at 10.47 for second.
Franco Parra Ramon took second in the 3000 steeplechase with a personal-best time of 8:52.35.
In the field events, a pair of Tigers finished first and second in the discus, as Casey Helm won the event with a throw of 59.66m/195-9". Avery Shunneson was behind him in second with a throw of 55.81m/183-1".
In the shot put, Joe Licata claimed first with a mark of 18.44m/60-6". Helm again excelled, claiming second with a mark of 18.26m/59-11".
Drew Mruk set a new personal best in the javelin, throwing 60.55m/198-8", while Asher Robbins set a new personal record in the hammer throw with a mark of 65.29m/214' 2".

Princeton now looks to the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships next weekend in New Haven, Conn., as the program looks to complete its 11th all-time Triple Crown.
