Women's Rowing's 2V Qualifies For NCAA Grand Final

WEST WINDSOR – The Princeton Women's Rowing Team had the second varsity qualify for the NCAA Rowing Championships Grand Final on Saturday morning.
Princeton's 2V led throughout its semifinal and crossed the line at 6:13.13, three seconds in front of Washington and 4.6 seconds ahead of Yale (6:17.78).
No. 1 seeded Stanford (6:12.9), No. 4 Texas (6:17.72) and No. 17 Virginia (6:20.08) advanced to the Grand Final out of the other semifinal. Sunday's Grand Final will be at 10 a.m.
Princeton's 2V has not medaled since 2014 and only has two medals in NCAA Rowing Championship history.
The Tigers' 1V secured fifth place (6:15.78) in its semifinal behind Stanford (6:03.54), Texas (6:07.67), Washington (6:10.31) and Rutgers (6:13.42). It will row in the Petite Final at 10:12 a.m.
Head coach Lori Dauphiny's varsity four placed sixth in its semifinal (7:13.24), trailing Texas (6:57.73), Stanford (6:59.93), Tennessee (7:04.46), Syracuse (7:04.79) and Harvard (7:09.60). It will row in the Petite Final at 9:24 a.m.
