
Scoot & Scatchard Qualify For NCAA Championships

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Georgina Scoot and Mena Scatchard punched their tickets to the NCAA National Championships on day two of competition at the NCAA East Regional at Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium.
Scoot, who also qualified for the NCAA Championships in long jump, finished eighth in the triple jump to secure a spot in a second event in Eugene after a jump of 13.04 meters. She'll be making a second trip to the NCAA Championships after competing in 2024, adding another accolade to a resume that includes 2025 Outdoor Heps Most Outstanding Field Performer after winning both the long jump and triple jump.
Scatchard qualified in the 1500 meters, finishing seventh with a school record time of 4:08.34, besting her previous program record time of 4:11.10. Scatchard will be making a third NCAA appearance in 2024-25, also qualifying in cross country and indoor, where was runner-up in the mile and earned All-America honors. Additionally, Scatchard won the 1500 at Outdoor Heps.
In addition to Scoot and Satchard, Shea Greene qualified for the NCAA Championships in the javelin on May 29.
Two Tigers competed in the discus and finished inside the top 20. Siniru Iheoma finished 14th with a mark of 52.09 meters and Makenna Marshall 19th after a throw of 51.03 meters.
Lexi Allen secured a top 20 finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase after crossing the finish line in 10:12.08 to take 19th. Lucca Fulkerson came in 30th after finishing in 10:24.97.
Hannah Riggins finished inside the top 20 in the 800 meters after posting a time of 2:04.51.
A pair of Tigers also competed in the high jump, with Alysa Carrigan finishing 30th (1.74 meters) and Madeleine Wood 33rd (1.74 meters)
Alexandra Kelly recorded a mark of 12.47 meters in the triple jump to finish 30th.
