IRCA Names Five From Heavyweight Rowing All-America

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA) announced its 2025 Empacher-IRCA All-Americans Thursday afternoon and five members of the Princeton University heavyweight rowing team were honored.
Patrick Long and Marcus Chute were named to the First Team, while Patrick Shaw and Theo Bell received Second Team honors. Connor Neill was named Honorable Mention All-America.
Long receives All-America honors for the second time in his career after being named Second Team in 2024. Bell receives his third All-America award, after being named First Team in 2023 and 2024. Chute, Shaw and Neill garner All-America accolades for the first time in their careers.
All five raced on the 1V during the 2025 season, leading the Tigers to a fourth-place finish at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championship along with a bronze medal at Eastern Sprints. They also helped the 1V set a course best time of 5:20.8 at Lake Carnegie against Brown on May 3.
