Princeton Announces 2025 Field Hockey Schedule

PRINCETON FIELD HOCKEY 2025 SCHEDULE
Another Princeton field hockey season is a little more than two months away, and that must mean what every other TFH season means: An intense schedule is on the horizon.
Princeton, as it always does, will take on many of Division I's top teams in its non-league schedule while also hoping to add another Ivy League championship to the 28 the program already has. If all goes well, November will bring another trip to the NCAA tournament, where Princeton reached the quarterfinals a year ago.
The 16-game regular season kicks off with a twist to the annual ACC/Ivy League challenge, as Old Dominion has replaced Louisville and will join North Carolina and Penn on Sherrerd Field Sept. 5-7. Princeton's opener will be against ODU, with the Tigers and Tar Heels to play Sunday.
North Carolina reached the NCAA Final Four a year ago. Of Princeton's nine non-league opponents, five were NCAA teams last year, including defending NCAA champion Northwestern as well, whom the Tigers will play in Evanston on Monday, Oct. 13. The other non-league NCAA teams from last year on the schedule are Syracuse, Maryland and UConn.
The Ivy League season will start on Sept. 19, when Penn will be back on Sherrerd Field. At that point, Penn will be playing its fifth game of the season and third at Princeton.
Princeton hosts Harvard Sept. 26 in a matchup of teams who split their two games a year ago, with the Tigers win in the regular season and then Harvard's in the Ivy tournament final. The Ivy title has gone to Princeton or Harvard — or both — every year since 2011.
Princeton will play 11 home games and five away games in the regular season.
