CRCA Release
PRINCETON, N.J. – Elena Every, Lina Schwartz and Cate Barry of the Princeton University women's lightweight rowing team were honored as College Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) All-Americans Friday afternoon. Schwartz and Barry were named First Team and Barry Second Team.
The CRCA All-American Awards recognize the most outstanding collegiate rowers and coxswains across all NCAA divisions and the lightweight category. These athletes have demonstrated elite athletic performance, leadership, consistency, and dedication throughout the season, earning distinction among the top rowers in the nation.
This prestigious recognition honors athletes who have contributed significantly to their teams while meeting high standards in competition and training. The All-American teams also serve as the foundation for the selection of Athlete of the Year Finalists—with one ultimate Athlete of the Year selected from each division.
Every, Schwartz and Barry led the Tigers to an IRA National Championship along with a gold medal in the 8+, and a victory in the team point standings at Eastern Sprints, where they also led the 8+ to gold. Additionally, Princeton had an undefeated regular season.
Every earns CRCA All-America honors for the second time in her career while Schwartz and Barry received the accolade for the first time.
