PRINCETON – San Diego Padres have signed Jake Bold a free agent contract, according to Baseball America.
"We could not be more happy for Jake on signing with his home town team," said by Robert H.B. Baldwin '42 Head Coach of Baseball Scott Bradley. "His production at Princeton is more than worthy of an opportunity to play at the next level and I can't wait to see what he does next!"
The catcher started in every game in 2025 and led the Tigers in batting average (.260), slugging (.479), and on-base percentage (.435), adding eight home runs, 27 RBI and six doubles. His 39 walks were the second most in a single season in program history (39).
In his career with the Tigers, Bold owned a .289 batting average, a .457 slugging percentage and a .425 on base percentage. He drove in 70 runs, knocked 15 homers, 22 doubles and walked 89 times.
