
Men's Golfers Tee Off At US Junior Amateur

A pair of incoming Princeton men's golfers are set to compete at the US Junior Amateur Championship in Dallas, Texas. The field of 264 golfers will play at Trinity Forrest Golf Club and Brook Hollow Golf Club for two rounds of stroke play before the field is cut down to 64 players who will compete in Match Play.
Luke Brandler, a native of Hong Kong, is first off for the Tiger contingent, teeing off at 9:26 a.m. EST while Canadian Eric Zhao tees off at 1:52 EST. Both players will play their first rounds at Trinity Forrest.
The winner of the US Junior Amateur receives the champions' gold medal, custody of the U.S. Junior Amateur Trophy for one year, exemption from qualifying from future U.S. Junior Amateurs, exemption into 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Country Club (must be an amateur), exemption into the 2025 and 2026 U.S. Amateur Championships and their name engraved on a plaque honoring the 2025 USGA champions that will reside in the Hall of Champions inside the USGA Museum in Liberty Corner, N.J.
Many of the game's greats have won the US Junior Amateur, including Tiger Woods (1991-93), Jordan Spieth (2009, 2011) and Scottie Scheffler (2013).
