Greyserman & Brandler Tee Off At U.S. Amateur

A pair of Princeton men's golfers are competing at the 125th U.S. Amateur held August 11-17 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, Calif. as Reed Greyserman and Luke Brandler have earned spots in the field of 312 golfers.
Greyserman, a PING All-Region selection and a first-team All-Ivy honoree as a rookie last year, is competing in his third U.S. Amateur after previously competing in 2021 and 2024. He earned his spot in the field by winning the Florida Amateur earlier this summer.
Brandler, who will join the Tigers' lineup this fall as a freshman, earned his spot in the field by finishing second at the qualifier held at Ruby Hill Golf Club.
Opening Round Tee Times For Princeton Golfers At The 2025 U.S. Amateur
11:02 a.m. EST - Reed Greyserman (Lake Course)
3:57 p.m. EST - Luke Brandler (Ocean Course)
Each golfer will play 36 holes of stroke play, one round each at the Lake Course and the Ocean Course. After the two rounds of stroke play, the field will be cut down to 64 players who will compete in Match Play.
The champion will receive a gold medal, custody of the Havemeyer Trophy for one year, exemption from qualifying for the next 10 U.S. Amateurs, exemption into 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Country Club, in Southampton, N.Y., exemption into 2026 Open Championship, conducted by The R&A, at Royal Birkdale (must be an amateur), likely invitation into 2026 Masters Tournament (must be an amateur), nad their name engraved into 2025 USGA Champions' plaque that resides in the USGA Museum's Hall of Champions in Liberty Corner, N.J.
