Men's Track and Field Welcomes 15 in Class of 2029

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton men's track and field program welcomes 15 newcomers in its Class of 2029, as the reigning Ivy League Triple Crown winners return to Princeton for the beginning of the 2025-26 academic year.
After an extraordinarily successful 2024-25 season, which saw the Tigers win their second-consecutive Triple Crown and boast multiple All-Americans, the program is excited to announce its talented new class of athletes who will help it chase more titles this year.

Thomas Arender
PRs: 1600 - 4:08, 800 - 1:54, 5k - 15:16
Before Princeton: Sumner County Track Athlete of the Year 2024 and 2025; school record holder in 800, 1600, 3200, and 5k XC.
Why Princeton: “I chose to come to Princeton because of the outstanding academic experience, the close-knit team culture I experienced on my visit, and the opportunity to maximize my athletic potential.”

Jaylen Bennett
PRs: 100m - 10.65, 200m - 21.29, 300m - 33.91, 400m - 47.32, 500m - 1:02.68, 600m - 1:21.05
Before Princeton: Competed at the World Athletics U20 Championships representing St. Kitts & Nevis; three-time All-American at Nike Outdoor Nationals (2025); Carifta Games silver medalist; named New Hampshire State Gatorade Track & Field Player of the Year (2025).

Hayden Boaz

Before Princeton: 2nd at NBNI in the 5k; 10th in the 3k at NON outdoors.
Why Princeton: “When I visited Princeton, I felt like I had found my people. Everyone had the same mindset of improving, both academically and athletically, and seemed genuinely interested in the experience.”

Quentin Braithwaite
PRs: 100m - 10.49, 200m - 21.19, 60m - 6.75
Before Princeton: Three-time Maryland 4A state champion; two-time Adidas Outdoor Track National; set an AAU National Record for the 4x100 meter relay when club team, The House, ran 39.92 seconds last summer.
Why Princeton: “I chose to come to Princeton because of its prestige and outstanding job preparation, as well as the amazing track and field team, especially the sprint crew.”

Isaiah Bright

Before Princeton: USATF All-American; CIF SS Masters champion; CIF state finalist.

I deeply appreciated Coach Abdullah’s warm welcome to the team and loved seeing athletes’ progression during this past season.
