
Men's Basketball Announces 2025-26 Schedule

PRINCETON, N.J. – Headlined by 12 home games, up to nine games against teams who saw postseason action last season, a trip to the University of Kansas and a multi-team event at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, the Princeton University men's basketball team announced its 2025-26 schedule Friday morning.
The Tigers open the season on Nov. 8 at 2025 Mid-American Conference (MAC) champion Akron, an opponent that played in the NCAA Tournament last season. Â Princeton's home opener takes place on Nov. 11 against Bucknell before it ventures to Lawrence, Kansas, to face the four-time NCAA champion Jayhawks, whose 28 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances are the most of any program, on Nov. 15. Princeton then returns to the east coast and faces Iona in New Rochelle, New York, on Nov. 18 before hosting Northeastern on Nov. 20.
Leading into Thanksgiving, the Tigers will play in the Terry's Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational in Kissimmee, Florida, from Nov. 24-27 at State Farm Field House at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Princeton opens against Bradley on Nov. 24, a program that made it to the quarterfinals at the 2025 National Invitational Tournament (NIT). The field also includes UC San Diego and Liberty, both NCAA Tournament teams last season, along with Rhode Island, Towson, Vermont and Temple.
Princeton then takes on Saint Joseph's, who played in the 2025 NIT, in the Deborah Heart and Lung Center Jersey Jam in Trenton, New Jersey, on Nov. 30, before taking on Monmouth on Dec. 3 in West Long Branch, New Jersey. Non-conference play continues inside Gentile Arena in Chicago, Illinois, against Loyola-Chicago, an NIT team last season, on Dec. 6 before a home contest against Merrimack on Dec. 10. The Tigers then travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to face Temple on Dec. 22. Non-conference play concludes inside Jadwin Gymnasium against Vermont on Dec. 30.
Ivy League play opens on Jan. 5 at home against the University of Pennsylvania in a contest that would see the Tigers overtake the Quakers in the all-time series between the two programs in the event of a victory. Princeton returns to Jadwin on Jan. 10 to host 2025 Ivy champions Yale, before back-to-back road contests at Harvard on Jan. 17 and Dartmouth on Jan. 19.
Three consecutive road games follow, with the Tigers making trips to Cornell (Jan. 30), Columbia (Jan. 31) and Penn (Feb. 7). Regular season play wraps up with four out of the final six games at home, first hosting Cornell (Feb. 13) then Columbia (Feb. 14) before a trip to Providence, Rhode Island, to take on Brown (Feb. 20). On Feb. 27 Princeton hosts Harvard then on Feb. 28 is hosts Dartmouth before concluding regular season play at Yale on Mar. 7.
The Ivy League Tournament will take place in inside Newman Arena in Ithaca, New York, on Mar. 14 and 15.
