No. 24 Women's Basketball Takes Care Of Yale, 76-50

PRINCETON – Behind a combined 35 points from Ashley Chea and Madison St. Rose, the No. 24 Princeton Women's Basketball Team took care of business against the Yale Bulldogs, 76-50, at the Lee Amphitheater on Saturday afternoon.
Princeton started off fast with nine of the first 11 points and led 17-12 after 10 minutes of action. St. Rose's three-pointer with 16 seconds to go in the first half pushed the Tigers' advantage to 13, 35-22.
A 12-2 sprint to end the third stanza extended Princeton's advantage to 23, 56-33, and the Bulldogs never threatened the rest of the way.
St. Rose led all scorers with 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting, adding five dimes. Chea posted 17 points, four rebounds and three assists in the victory.
Princeton matched its season best with 20 bench points highlighted by a career day for Emily Eadie as she nabbed personal bests in points (eight), rebounds (six), assists (three) and steals (two).
Princeton improves to 14-1 overall and 2-0 in the Ivy League while Yale drops to 4-11 this season and 0-2 in the conference. Sitting with a 12-game winning streak, the Tigers welcome Dartmouth (Jan. 17, 2 p.m.) and Harvard (Jan. 19, 2 p.m.) to Jadwin Gym next week.
