Women's Hockey Beats Union as ECAC Slate Returns
January 09, 2026 | Women's Ice Hockey
Atop the ECAC Hockey standings, the No. 9-ranked Princeton women's hockey team added three points to their bank on Friday night with a 3-1 win at Union.
Issy Wunder had the bookending goals, first with a takeaway and a breakaway just past the midway point of the first period and then when she sent her own rebound back for a 3-1 lead with more than five minutes gone in the second period.
Union answered Wunder's first goal with a power-play goal five-plus minutes after Wunder opened the scoring, but the tie lasted only a little more than a minute before Katherine Khramtsov tipped in a tough-angle shot by Jane Kuehl to put Princeton back in front 2-1.
Now 9-2 in the league, Princeton will take its league-best 25 standings points across the New York capital region for a visit to RPI on Saturday at 3 p.m.
