Juniors Karis Ford and Sonia Zhang have been included on D1Softball's Mid-Major Preseason Top 100 List as the website announced its list of the top 100 non-rookies from the 250-plus teams outside the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten and SEC.Â
A first-team All-Ivy Leaguer, Ford, a designated player/outfielder, hit .344 last season and led the team with 10 homers and 41 RBI. Zhang, a third baseman and a first-team All-Ivy Leaguer in each of her first two seasons, hit .357 last year with a team-high 51 hits.
Ford and Zhang were among those who helped Princeton to its fourth straight Ivy League title and fourth straight year as host for the Ivy League postseason. The 2026 season will get underway for Ford, Zhang and the Tigers on the second weekend of February in Jacksonville, Fla.
