As the Princeton women's hockey team's winning streak rolled on with two victories over Stonehill last weekend, Issy Wunder and Riley Sorokan were among those who helped pile up the points, leading to ECAC Hockey weekly awards.
Wunder is the ECAC Hockey Forward of the Week, presented by Laurel Lake Placid, after scoring five goals and adding four assists for nine points across the two-game weekend. Saturday's 10-0 win saw Wunder score four goals, giving the senior her second career hat trick along with a five-goal game against Stonehill on Nov. 30, 2024. Wunder ranks seventh in the nation in goals per game this season, at 0.76, 11th in points per game, at 1.47, and 18th in assists per game, at 0.71.Â
Sorokan is the ECAC Rookie of the Week after getting four assists in Friday's game and three in Saturday's game for a seven-assist weekend. Sorokan's Friday game was one of two four-assist games on the weekend, with Emerson O'Leary getting four helpers in Saturday's game.Â
The Tigers, in first place in the ECAC, will return to league play this weekend with a visit to Union and RPI.
