Alexander Named ECAC Hockey, HCA Forward of the Month

After helping send the Princeton women's hockey team into the break for the holidays and first-semester finals with a road sweep of Colgate and Cornell, Princeton sophomore Mackenzie Alexander has been named the ECAC Hockey Forward of the Month, presented by Laurel Lake Placid, and the Hockey Commissioners Association Forward of the Month.

Alexander had her first career hat trick against No. 14/15 Colgate in a 6-1 win on Dec. 5, adding an assist for a four-point game a night before she had another assist in a 3-2 win at No. 8 Cornell.

The start to the new month and new year did nothing to cool Alexander, who started 2026 with two goals in the first of last weekend's pair against Stonehill before scoring three goals and adding three assists in the second game of the weekend series.

With the return to ECAC Hockey play this weekend at Union and RPI ahead, Alexander is on a nine-game point-scoring streak concurrent with the team's nine-game winning streak, a run that has seen Alexander score 12 goals and add eight assists for 20 points.
