Corniea Earns Fourth ECAC Goalie of the Week Honor

Following backstopping the Princeton women's hockey team to the first sweep of the North Country road trip since 2011, junior Uma Corniea has earned her fourth MAC Goaltending ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week award of the season.

Last Friday at St. Lawrence, Corniea made 30 saves in helping Princeton to a 2-0 win its seventh shutout of the season, the second-highest total in program history, and Corniea's fourth shutout of the season. She followed that up on Saturday with a personal-best 43 saves in a 6-1 win at No. 11 Clarkson, surpassing a 40-save game earlier this season at Quinnipiac.

This season, Corniea was named the MAC Goaltending ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week on Nov. 25, Dec. 9 and Jan. 20. Corniea was also ECAC Hockey's and the Hockey Commissioners Association's Goalie of the Month for November and was included on the Women's Hockey Commissioners Association's Goalie of the Year watch list.

With Princeton atop the ECAC, the Tigers will head to Dartmouth and Harvard this weekend.
