March 19, 2026 | Softball
Princeton (10-9) trailed 7-2 entering its final at-bat after Rider used a five-run fifth inning to seize control and added another run in the seventh. The Tigers chipped away late, bringing the tying run to the plate before Coole delivered in her first collegiate at-bat, clearing the bases to even the score.
The Tigers finished with 14 hits, with Mia Valenzuela going 3-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI, while Julia Dumais added two hits and a run batted in.
In the circle, Reece Uehara earned the win, allowing two runs over 6.1 innings before Keala Hollenkamp bridged to the final out.
Rider (9-13) was led by a home run from M. Luedtke and a two-RBI triple from A. Wheeler, building a lead that held until the final inning.
Earlier in the day, Rider took the opener 4-3, scoring four runs in the first inning and holding off a late Princeton push to earn the split.
Princeton will start Ivy League play on Saturday with a doubleheader against Cornell back at Cynthia Lynn Paul Field.
