Princeton softball extended its unbeaten start in Ivy League play on Saturday, rallying past Columbia for a 5-2 victory at Columbia Softball Stadium.

After falling behind early, the Tigers (14-9, 4-0 Ivy League) steadily chipped away before pulling ahead late, scoring in four of the final five innings and sealing the win with a two-run seventh.

Columbia (10-14, 2-2 Ivy League) struck first in the second inning on a two-run home run, but Princeton quickly answered in the third. Graciela Dominguez cut the deficit in half with a solo shot to center, igniting the Tigers' offense.

Princeton evened the game in the fifth when Sonia Zhang tripled and later scored on a Columbia error off Dominguez's bat. The Tigers then took their first lead an inning later, as Julieta Roa walked, swiped second and came home on an RBI single from Mia Valenzuela to make it 3–2.

The Tigers created separation in the seventh. Zhang and Dominguez opened the inning with back-to-back singles before Julia Dumais cashed in a couple insurance runs, driving in both with a double to left center to push the lead to 5-2.

Dumais finished 3 for 4 with two RBI, while Dominguez also had three hits, including her home run, and drove in two. Zhang scored twice and added a triple as Princeton totaled 10 hits on the day.

In the circle, Cassidy Shaw earned the win, allowing two runs over 6 2/3 innings while scattering five hits. Brielle Wright recorded the final out to secure the save.

Princeton's pitching staff held Columbia scoreless over the final five innings, shutting the door after the Lions' early surge.

The teams will finish the series Sunday with a 12:30 p.m. doubleheader.
