No. 7 Women's Open Rowing Retains The Class of 1987 Trophy

PRINCETON – The No. 6 Princeton Women's Open Rowing Team took home four of the five races against the No. 7 Brown Bears on Lake Carnegie on Saturday morning.
The 2V got the action started with an impressive 7.1 second decision (7:16.7) over the Bears (7:23.8).
Princeton's 1V kept the Class of 1987 Trophy earning a 7:16.1 while Brown nabbed a 7:22.8.
It's the eighth straight victory for the Tigers for the Class of 1987 Trophy, dating back to 2017.
Brown's lone victory came in the varsity four event as it crossed the line at 8:03.4.
The Bears' 3V raced out to an early open water lead, but the Tigers rallied and crossed the line at 7:39.2, 6.5 seconds ahead (7:45.7).
Princeton's B4 corralled a 8:38.6, 9.1 seconds in front of Brown (8:47.7) to finish off the racing.
"We're pleased with how we competed today against a strong Brown team," said head coach Lori Dauphiny. "It's in the season and while this is a good step, we know there's a lot of work ahead still as we continue to grow and improve."
