Mudd Sets New Ivy League Record at Spec Towns

ATHENS, GA. – Tessa Mudd bested her own Ivy League record in the pole vault as the Tigers opened up competition at the Spec Towns Invitational in Athens, Ga. on Friday.
Clearing 4.41m/14-5.5, Mudd won the event and topped her own league record of 4.40m, set last year at the Virginia Challenge. The mark puts her at seventh on the current NCAA performance list.
First-year Lotte Gretzler also had a strong day in the pole vault, clearing 4.11m/13-5.75 - just one centimeter off from her personal best to take fifth.
Alex Kelly and Georgina Scoot went one-and-two in the long jump as both Tigers cleared 6.40m/21-0. On her first attempt, Kelly went 6.40m, just four centimeters off from her outdoor best, while Scoot made it on her last attempt.
Angela McAuslan-Kelly picked up another win in the hammer throw with a mark of 62.84m/206-2.
Shea Greene won the javelin with a throw of 56.78m, just shy of her personal best and Ivy League record of 56.91m.
Kameil Crane set a PR in the javelin, throwing 48.10 to jump into fourth on the Princeton all-time leaderboard. She bested her previous PR of 43.36m, set at last year's Heps.
Niki Woods also came within centimeters of her personal best (49.85), throwing ??49.78.
Ava John finished third in the Heptathlon with a final score of 5268 as she jumped up from fifth place in the final event. Running the 800m in 2:13.96 for fourth, she earned 907 points to improve two places.
Julia Jongejeugd was behind her with a fifth place finish in the Heptathlon, led by her bronze mark in the high jump as she cleared 1.68m.
Maisha Atkinson had a top-20 finish in the 200m as she ran 24.03.
