Beaulieu Named Ivy Athlete of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Pia Beaulieu was named Ivy Athlete of the Week on Tuesday following a strong performance in the steeplechase at the Penn Relays.

In just her third time competing in the event, Beaulieu clocked in at 10:02.39 for eighth place. The mark ranks 20th nationally, and puts her at third in the Princeton record book.

Beaulieu's time was also an 18-second improvement from her 10:20.79 performance from last week's Wake Forest Invitational.

For Beaulieu, a women's soccer player at Princeton now competing in track as well in her senior spring, it is her first time earning Ivy Athlete of the Week distinction in the sport.

Up next, Beaulieu and the Tigers will host the Larry Ellis Invitational this weekend in Weaver Stadium.
