Madison Sets 5000m Record as Tigers Begin Larry Ellis

PRINCETON, N.J. – Meg Madison set a new program record in the 5000m as the Tigers began the Larry Ellis Invitational on Friday in Weaver Stadium.
Clocking in at 15:47.14, Madison bested the previous school record of 15:48.24, set by Mena Scatchard '25 at last year's Sam Howell invite. She now holds the top spot in both the indoor and outdoor record books.
Anna McNatt was just behind Madison, clocking in with a new PR of 15:54.01 to take second in the program record book.
Emma De Jong also shined with a 16:00.86 5k, setting a new personal best as she helped the Tigers to a 1-3-4 finish.
Shea Greene picked up another win in the javelin, throwing 55.60m/182-5. The mark puts her in the top-25 on the current NCAA performance list.
Niki Woods came in third with a throw of 47.44m/155-8, while Kameil Crane took fourth with a mark of 44.90/147-4.
Alexandra Kelly and Georgina Scoot took first and second in the long jump, clearing 6.55m/21-6 and 6.21m/20-4.5 respectively. They were the only two jumpers in the field to clear six meters.
Angela McAuslan-Kelly took second in the hammer, throwing 60.86m/199-8.
Hannah Riggins took seventh in the 800m, running 2:05.30. Olivia Martin was just behind her in the top-10, running 2:06.55. Finia Kretschmann (2:11.38) and Sofia Lieberman (2:14.05) both set new PRs in the event.

The Tigers will close out the weekend with day two of the Larry Ellis Invitational tomorrow, before turning attention to Ivy Heps on May 16th and 17th.
