Meghin Williams

Williams is in her second year as Princeton’s Women’s Basketball Director of Basketball Operations in 2017-18.
In 2016-17, the Princeton Tigers reached the postseason for the eighth straight season as they received a bid to the WNIT. The team finished second in the Ivy League during the regular season and advanced to the Ivy League Tournament Championship Game. Bella Alarie was honored as the Ivy League Rookie of the Year, All-Ivy League first team and Ivy League All-Tournament team. Leslie Robinson was named to the All-Ivy League second team and Ivy League All-Tournament team.
The Tigers were among the nation’s best in rebounds per game (12th, 43.3), field goal percentage defense (18th, 35.6), offensive rebounds per game (30th, 15.0), scoring defense (28th, 57.2), rebound margin (31st, +6.4) and three-point field goal percentage defense (33rd, 28.3) in 2016-17.

“I’m thrilled to be adding someone of Meghin’s caliber, quality and experience to the staff at Princeton,” noted Banghart when Williams was hired. “She brings passion and compassion for people to our program, a high level and successful playing career to our sideline, and enthusiasm, creativity, and a tireless work ethic to her role as a teammate on our staff.”
Williams recently finished her second season as a graduate assistant manager for the Nebraska women’s basketball coaching staff in 2015-16. She will receive her Masters’ of Education and Administration later this month.
Her primary responsibilities at Nebraska included preparing itineraries for recruits which included travel, hotel and campus tours along with working directly with the Director of Operations for travel preparation and scheduling. Williams also helped the coaching staff with all aspects of the program. The former Cornhusker was also important in coordinating the team’s basketball camps.
Williams played at Nebraska from 2009-13 and was a member of the team’s first two Sweet 16 appearances. After finishing her career and earning her bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, she was a student-assistant in the women’s basketball office in 2013-14 and then took part in the “So You Want to be a Coach” program at the Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Association (WBCA) National Convention.
