Kelly Nash is in her second season as an assistant coach for the Princeton women's hockey team.
A two-time national champion, Nash currently plays on the Metropolitan Riveters hockey team in the National Women's Hockey League.
In her first season, the Tigers posted a 14-14-4 overall record anf took No. 5 ranked Cornell to three games in the ECAC quarterfinal series - taking two games from the Big Red during the season. A 2-0 shutout over No. 1 ranked and eventual national champion Clarkson highlighted the squad's season.
Nash won two national titles at University of Wisconsin, in 2009 and 2011, as the Badgers made three Frozen Four appearances during her career. In 153 career games, Nash totaled 69 points on 22 goals and 47 assists. Her most notable performance was scoring the overtime game-winning goal against Minnesota in the WCHA championship, as the team overcame a two-goal third-period deficit to win its fourth consecutive league championship. Nash was honored as the team's most dedicated player with the Jeff Sauer Award that same season.
Following graduation, Nash continued to play professionally with the Vienna (Austria) Sabres of the European Hockey League.
Nash's coaching career began with the Middlesex (Massachusetts) Islanders before she earned her first collegiate coaching position at the University of Vermont in 2013.
Her in first season at Vermont, the Catamount set a program record with 18 wins and won the program's first Hockey East playoff game. Vermont joined Hockey East in 2005-06 after being a member of the ECAC for its first four years in Division I. This past season, she coached her offense to a team record of 96 goals.
A native of Bonita, Calif., Nash earned a bachelor's degree in sociology in 2011 and is currently working towards her master's in education in interdisciplinary studies from Vermont.
