Min Jie Teh, twice a CSA All-American at Trinity, joined the Princeton women’s squash program as the team’s assistant coach ahead of the 2025-26 season.
“I am honored to be joining the Princeton women’s squash program,” Teh said upon her hiring. “These are outstanding student-athletes, and I look forward to supporting them while learning from and working alongside Gail, who has built such a strong legacy at Princeton.”
A 2021 Trinity graduate with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Teh had three years of competition in Hartford before the 2020-21 season was lost to the pandemic. Teh earned All-NESCAC honors in all three competitive seasons, winning conference Rookie of the Year and second-team all-league recognition in 2018, first-team all-conference honors in 2019, and was the NESCAC Player of the Year and first-team all-conference in 2020.
“Min Jie will be a tremendous addition to our program,” Ramsay said upon Teh's hiring. “She brings strong coaching experience along with an excellent playing background. I think very highly of her as a person, coach, and competitor, and I am confident she will make a significant impact on both our players and the program.”
Teh finished with a 47-11 record at Trinity and helped the Bantams to No. 2 national finishes as a freshman and a sophomore and a fourth-place finish as a junior. Teh played at No. 4 in the Howe Cup as a freshman, No. 2 in the as a sophomore and No. 1 as a junior.
Teh was also an academic honoree at Trinity, winning CSA Scholar-Athlete honors in 2020 and NESCAC All-Academic honors that season for the second straight year.
After graduating from Trinity, Teh continued competing in professional squash tournaments, winning the 2023 New York Open, finishing second at the 2021 Isaac Bolch Open and reaching the second round at the 2024 Carol Weymuller Open. Teh began her coaching career as an Assistant Squash Professional at the Philadelphia Cricket Club, serving there from 2021-23, while coaching with US Squash at the 2023 British Junior Open. Beginning in the fall of 2023, Teh was an Assistant Squash Professional at The Heights Casino in New York, and in the summer of 2024, she served as an Assistant Professional at the Vikram Malhotra Summer Camps.
From Malaysia, Teh began playing squash with the country’s national association in 2009, earning a peak national ranking of No. 4 in 2017 and a high junior ranking of No. 2 in 2014. Teh helped Malaysia’s squad to several team championships, including the 2015 Asian Squash Junior Championship, the 2015 Southeast Asian Cup, the 2015 Southeast Asian Games, and the 2016 Asian Squash Team Championship.
Teh holds US Squash Level 1 and Level 2 coaching certifications, both earned in 2022.
